What is it? Canada's castle, Casa Loma, is today owned by the City of Toronto and draws plenty of interest standing in the medieval splendor of the hill its website. The castle was the former home of Canadian financier Sir Henry Pellatt, who attended the famous architect EJ Lennox to help him realize a lifelong dream to build a castle. Construction began in 1911 and took 300 men nearly three years to complete the impressive Casa Loma. Inside, visitors can see the magnificent decorated suites, secret passages, and 800 feet (244m) long tunnel, while outside you can stroll the beautiful gardens of five acres of the manor. Standing 1815 feet (553m) tall, Toronoto landmark CN Tower is the tallest building in the world, to celebrate an icon, an important telecommunications hub and tourist center in Toronto. About two million people visit the tower each year to take panoramic views and enjoy all its attractions. The tower was built in 1976, a national Canadian company that is committed to the project simply to show the strength of Canadian industry and solve communication problems in the city. The ceiling is decorated with motifs and symbols representing cultures from around the world throughout the centuries, and is made of square-cut Venetian glass imported. The museum consists of three buildings with 200,000 square feet (18.581 meters squared) of galleries and exhibitions. More than 40 galleries current exhibitions of art, archeology and science. Among the most popular are dinosaurs, galleries of Chinese art, a bat cave, a gem and gold room, exhibits about Ancient Egypt and Nubia, and the Samuel European Galleries.
